The Clockwork Collection is a unique tribute to the genius of a cult film-maker. Interchangeable sculptures featuring the infamous Bowler Hat in homage to Kubrick’s dystopian film, A Clockwork Orange.
The skull motif remains central to our artistic vision. The addition of the Kubrick Bowler Hat reflects society’s continued obsession with class. Worn by both the working classes and the elite, the Bowler Hat is a subversive symbol of desperate respectability and dissolute entitlement. ‘Viddy well little brother! Viddy well’
The collection is made up of 3 individual wall mount panels at 6 1/4 inches squares. The skull and hat sculptures are hand coloured and the orange hue was sampled from an original Clockwork Orange movie poster. They are held in place by powerful neodymium magnets that mount the sculpture to the coloured boards. Whilst the collection is set in a specific order they can be rearranged into 27 alternative displays.
